Abandoned Camps are a new structure in Minecraft. Unlike many landmarks, they are not tied to a single biome. You can find them across several parts of the Overworld, so the key is knowing which areas are worth checking.
Where to Find Abandoned Camps in Minecraft
Abandoned Camps can generate in many different biomes. These include forests, taigas, swamps, savannas, meadows, and several less common areas.
You can find them in Forest, Birch Forest, Cherry Grove, Meadow, Taiga, Snowy Taiga, Swamp, Savanna, Dappled Forest, Bamboo Jungle, Wooded Badlands, and Pale Garden.
Since camps appear in many biome types, you do not need to focus on one specific area. Large forest and taiga regions are good places to start. It also helps when several supported biomes sit close together.
How to Recognize an Abandoned Camp

Abandoned Camps look like small campsites that someone has left behind.
Their design changes depending on the biome. A camp in a snowy taiga can look very different from one in a savanna or Dappled Forest. Each version uses materials and layouts that fit its surroundings.
Look for tents, containers, camp equipment, and small structures that stand out from the natural terrain. Camps are much smaller than villages, so they are easy to miss in dense areas.
What Can You Find in Abandoned Camps?

Abandoned Camps can contain chests and barrels with loot. This makes them worth checking whenever you find one.
Camp layouts can also vary between biomes. Some versions arrange their structures differently, while newer test builds have added features such as Straw Beds.
Mojang is still adjusting the structure. Because of that, loot tables and camp layouts may change before the full release.
Are Abandoned Camps the Same in Every Biome?
No. Each supported biome has its own variation of the Abandoned Camp.
For example, a camp in the Dappled Forest uses a design that matches that biome. The game does not simply place the same camp everywhere.
This also means that finding one camp does not show you every possible version.
Are Abandoned Camps Available Yet?
Mojang is currently testing Abandoned Camps as part of an upcoming Minecraft game drop.
Java players can find them through the current 26.3 snapshot cycle. Bedrock players can access them through Preview and Beta versions.
The feature is still under development, so generation, loot, and camp designs may change before release.
For now, explore supported Overworld biomes and watch for small structures in clearings or between trees. Camps are easy to walk past, especially in dense forests. Slowing down and checking unusual spots can make them much easier to find.
